Checklist

Checklist is the new German expression for the checklist compiled for the performance of specified checking points. In the case of induction furnaces, a distinction is made between the electrical and mechanical components of the furnace. All leading furnace manufacturers have worked out the checklists for the system components separately, or provide the relevant information in the operating instructions. Fundamentally, cleaning should be carried out every 4 weeks, together with a visual inspection. Special attention must be paid to ensure that there are no leaks in the water or hydraulic systems of the furnace. Repairs must be carried out immediately, in order to avoid unforeseen breakdowns.
